YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, also known as Flying Beast, has come to the defense of fellow YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia during the ongoing backlash over his comments on the show “India’s Got Latent.” Taneja, who had previously criticized Ranveer, now believes that he is being unfairly targeted.
In a recent video on Instagram, Gaurav shared his thoughts on the situation. He said that while he understands why people are upset about Ranveer’s comments, he feels the criticism has gone too far. “When this BeerBiceps controversy first started, I thought the youth of this country would stand up for their traditions and culture, which is right,” he said. However, he questioned what is happening now.
Gaurav pointed out that if people are going to hold someone accountable, it should apply to everyone involved in the show. He expressed frustration, saying, “If you put up videos with bad language, doesn’t the algorithm know? Why aren’t you going after the big names? They only go after the weaker ones. It’s insane!”
He also mentioned that punishments should match the crime. “This is not the democracy we voted for,” he added.
The controversy started when Ranveer Allahbadia made a shocking comment during an episode of “India’s Got Latent,” asking a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” The backlash was immediate, leading to the deletion of related videos by Samay Raina, who co-hosted the episode. Ranveer also revealed that he and his family received death threats.
Now, the Maharashtra Cyber has summoned Ranveer to appear before them on February 24 as the investigation continues.
