Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has strongly denied reports claiming she is involved in a ₹2.4 crore cryptocurrency fraud case. She called these reports “fake and misleading” and said she will take action against those spreading such rumors.
In a statement to News Agency, Tamannaah expressed her concern about the false allegations. She said, “I’d like to request my friends in the media not to circulate any such fake, misleading, and false reports and rumors.”
The issue started when a man named Ashokan from Puducherry filed a complaint. He claimed that a company based in Coimbatore tricked him and ten others into investing ₹2.4 crore in a cryptocurrency scheme. Ashokan said he was invited to a launch event in 2022 that Tamannaah attended, as well as another event in Mahabaleshwar where actress Kajal Aggarwal was present. Reports suggest that the Puducherry Police may want to question both actresses, but there has been no official word from the police yet.
Tamannaah’s team is looking into legal options to deal with the situation. She added, “In the meantime, my team is looking into the same to initiate appropriate action.”
On the work front, Tamannaah was last seen in the Netflix film “Sikandar Ka Mukaddar,” where she acted alongside Avinash Tiwary and Jimmy Sheirgill. She is also set to appear in the horror thriller “Odela 2,” where she plays a sadhvi.
As this situation develops, Tamannaah Bhatia is focused on her career and is taking steps to protect her reputation from these false claims. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for more updates.
