Hyderabad, 27 Feb – Popular Telugu film actor and writer Posani Krishna Murali was arrested by police in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening. The arrest took place around 8:45 PM at his home in the New Science Colony area of Yellareddyguda, as confirmed by B. Krishna Rao, the Superintendent of Police in Annamayya district.
The notice given to Krishna Murali’s wife stated that he was arrested under several legal sections, but the exact reasons for his arrest are still unclear. More information is expected from the police soon.

According to the notice from the Sambepalli sub-inspector, the charges against Krishna Murali are serious and non-bailable, which means he cannot be released on bail. He has been sent to the Additional Judicial Magistrate of 1st Class in Rajampet for judicial custody. Police are currently moving him to Andhra Pradesh, and videos of his arrest are being shared online.
This arrest comes shortly after the police arrested Vallabhaneni Vamsi, a former MLA and leader of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Krishna Murali has been associated with the YSRCP and previously served as the chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film, TV, and Theatre Development Corporation (APFTTDC).
